This painting was created specially for an exhibition called "AppropriateD Titles" at the Golmok gallery in Seoul, South Korea. Artists were asked to take a famous painting or image and change it into something new. I took inspiration from the famous National Geographic cover and enforced the intense feeling of the girls eyes into abstract circles of lights. It has been exhibited in galleries and museums in South Korea, Albania and Canada.
The use of metallic watercolours brings in the shine of the sun and allows the painting to change with different lighting. On your wall throughout the day the painting will look different in the sunlight during the day and at night with indoor lighting.
